Tesla Model Y PPF Cost: The Short Answer
At Autograff, a Model Y Full Front in XPEL Ultimate Plus starts at $2,000 and a Full Body at $5,500, before sales tax. The Model Y’s soft paint is the main reason owners add film: the front bumper and hood chip on the freeway within the first year, and the rear bumper gets scuffed loading the trunk.
| Coverage | Ultimate Plus | Stealth |
|---|---|---|
| Full Front (hood, bumper, fenders, mirrors, headlights) | from $2,000 | Quote |
| Full Body | from $5,500 | Quote |
| Windshield protection film | $600 | $600 |
Prices are before sales tax. The Model 3 uses the same prices as the Model Y; Model S and X start at $2,500 and $6,000.
Full Front or Full Body
A Full Front covers the panels that take almost all of the rock chips. A Full Body adds the doors, rear quarters, rear bumper, roof pillars and the trunk edge, so the whole car wears the same and the paint stays original if you sell. Read Full Front vs Full Body for how to decide.
What You Pay For
Film is the biggest part of the price: Ultimate Plus is a self-healing clear film with a 10-year XPEL warranty. The rest is prep and install by XPEL-certified installers: a decontamination wash, computer-cut patterns for the Model Y, wrapped edges and 2 days in the bay for a Full Front, 3 to 4 for a Full Body.
Add Tint or Ceramic on the Same Visit
Most Model Y owners pair PPF with window tint ($560 in XR Black for sides and Rear Window) and a ceramic coating over the film to make washing easier. See our guide on PPF vs ceramic coating.
