Rivian began building the R2, its midsize SUV, in Normal, Illinois in 2026, and R2 owners are now picking up their cars. Rivian refers its owners to Autograff, so a new R2 can come to us right after delivery.

The Drop-Down Rear Window
The R2's Rear Window slides down into the liftgate. The film goes on the inside of the glass, the same way we tint roll-down door windows, so it keeps working normally. Keep it closed for the first few days while the film bonds.
Pop-Out Quarter Windows
The small rear quarter windows that pop out for fresh air are tinted with the rest of the side glass. They are part of the $650 / $800 price, not an extra.
The Glass Roof
Roof film cuts the heat that comes through the R2's large glass roof: $550 in XR Black or $600 in XR Plus, in any shade from nearly clear to dark.
Legal Shades
Front side windows must let at least 70% of light through. Rear side windows and the Rear Window can be any darkness, since the R2 has both side mirrors. See California tint laws.

How much is Rivian R2 window tint?
All side windows and the Rear Window are $650 in XPEL XR Black or $800 in XR Plus at XPEL's Rivian program prices. With the windshield it is $949 or $1,199. Front side windows alone are $200 / $250. Prices are before sales tax.
Can you tint the R2 Rear Window that rolls down?
Yes. The film goes on the inside of the glass, the same way we tint roll-down door windows, and the Rear Window keeps working normally. Keep it and the side windows closed for the first few days while the film bonds.
Can you tint the R2 glass roof?

How much is PPF for a Rivian R2?
XPEL Ultimate Plus clear PPF starts at $2,000 and XPEL Stealth satin PPF at $6,000, before sales tax. The final quote depends on coverage. A Full Front takes about 2 days and a Full Body 3 – 4 days.
Will tint or PPF affect my Rivian warranty?
XPEL says products installed through its Rivian program won't impact the Rivian New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The film carries its own XPEL warranty: lifetime for window tint and 10 years for PPF.
