The Glass Roof
If your R1S has a glass roof, roof film cuts the heat over all three rows: $550 in XR Black or $600 in XR Plus, in any shade from nearly clear to dark.
A Light Windshield
A nearly clear nano-ceramic windshield film cuts infrared heat without changing the look: $299 in XR Black, $399 in XR Plus. California allows a non-reflective strip on the top 4 inches.
Legal Shades
Front side windows must let at least 70% of light through. Rear side windows and the Rear Window can be any darkness, since the R1S has both side mirrors. See California tint laws.
XR Black or XR Plus
Both are nano-ceramic with 99% UV protection and no metal, so phone, GPS and key signals work normally. XR Plus rejects up to 96% of infrared heat against 85% for XR Black, for $150 more on sides and Rear Window. Compare in XR Black vs XR Plus.

How much is Rivian R1S window tint?
All side windows and the Rear Window are $650 in XPEL XR Black or $800 in XR Plus at XPEL's Rivian program prices. With the windshield it is $949 or $1,199. Front side windows alone are $200 / $250. Prices are before sales tax.
Are the third-row windows included?
Yes. The $650 / $800 price covers every side window on the R1S, including the third row, plus the Rear Window in the liftgate.
Can you tint the R1S glass roof?
Yes. If your R1S has a glass roof, film is $550 in XR Black or $600 in XR Plus, in any shade from nearly clear to dark.
How much is PPF for a Rivian R1S?
XPEL Ultimate Plus clear PPF starts at $2,000 and XPEL Stealth satin PPF at $6,000, before sales tax. The final quote depends on coverage. A Full Front takes about 2 days and a Full Body 3 – 4 days.
Will tint or PPF affect my Rivian warranty?
XPEL says products installed through its Rivian program won't impact the Rivian New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The film carries its own XPEL warranty: lifetime for window tint and 10 years for PPF.
